B proposed last May and we wanted to wait until the Fall to take our engagement pics. I am so happy we waited. We got beautiful weather! It wasn't too hot or too cold. DC's weather swings so easily so it was nice we weren't sweating or freezing. We woke up well before dawn... (like 4:30am). It was SO worth it to catch the sunrise we received!
Above is the picture we used for our save the dates. We decided to go with the enchanted embrace magnet from Wedding Paper Divas. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING! They re-touched the picture a little to fix the water on the ground and worked with us to change the layout of the design. They turned out awesome. I was really happy with them and a golden glitter ampersand - it was what dreams were made of! :)
We are so happy with all of our photos by Erin Kelleher. We met Erin through a friend and I cannot help but sing her praises from the rooftops! She was amazing! She ran around the monuments and told us exactly what to do. It was really fun! Erin has such a great eye for the beauty in life and can capture it with ease. If you live in the DMV area, you should be using Erin for all of your photography needs! For more info on Erin, visit her website: www.erinkelleherphotography.com or visit/follow her on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
If you are taking engagement pictures soon make sure and have make-up for touch ups, a brush, and a change of clothes! Outfit changes can really help break up your pictures so you have multiple shots to choose from for your wedding needs. I loved my Kate Spade pink crepe dress for these pictures. It had the right amount of movement, was really light, and I LOVE PINK. I mean, c'mon.
We printed and framed a bunch of pictures for our wedding and I cannot wait to see how well they play into our big day.
